UK to ban cell phone use while driving
"New legislation will be introduced into the UK on 1 December aimed at stamping out the potentially dangerous use of mobile devices while driving, writes Dale Vile of Quocirca.
The problem is that many people out there are confused about what exactly the new rules are and how they are likely to be interpreted by the police. In particular, there has been a lot of speculation about the type of equipment that will be 'legal' or otherwise" Source: TheRegister |

"The problem is that many people out there are confused about what exactly the new rules are".
that might be the case. but i have seen plenty of people using mobiles at the same time as driving who obviously think they can. as they are inside the car it is a different mater.standing outside of the car as you see these people drive & talk. a)cannot drive straight b)changing down gear to turn a corner is a impossibility, one hand on phone, change gear. what about the steering wheel. c)general lack of awareness. for the sake of a phone call it's much easier to pull over to one side.or that call could be the most expensive one they have made. not just a fine.a possible damaging effect on another person health/life afterwards. just makes me wonder sometimes with life as harsh as it can be sometimes.which is greater mobile phone or respect for another life!!! |
