Sony Adds Fingerprint Access To Portable Storage
"Sony launched Tuesday four new USB-based storage devices in its Micro Vault line, including one that relies on fingerprint authentication to secure passwords stored on the portable, stick-style flash drives.
The new Micro Vault with Fingerprint Access is a 128MB stick that connects via a USB 2.0 port, and replaces traditional passwords and user IDs with a fingerprint identification system for accessing Web sites, such as corporate intranets or enterprise Web services. The device will sell for $140 when it ships later this month."
