Square Enix U.S.A., Inc. has released an updated BenchMark for Final Fantasy XI, allowing you to check your PC's score for actual play of Final Fantasy XI for Windows. This new version features a demo mode which allows you to look at selected event scenes of the game, more beautiful graphics, a new map (Yuhtunga Jungle), and more (read full story for details). Final Fantasy XI will be available for PC in October 2003.

TERMINATION

MISCELLANEOUS

(1) This Agreement shall be governed by, construed, interpreted and executed in accordance with the laws of Japan.
(2) If any provision of this Agreement is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall be fully effective and enforceable.
(3) The Licenser and you hereby irrevocably agree with the exclusive jurisdiction of the Tokyo District Court in connection with any proceeding, suit or action arising out of or in connection with this Agreement.

NO WAIVER

No waiver by SQUARE ENIX CO., LTD. of any term, provision or condition of this Agreement, whether by conduct or otherwise, in any one or more instances, shall be deemed to be or be construed as a further or continuing waiver of any such term, provision or condition or as a waiver of any other term, provision or condition of this Agreement.

i scored 2850-2900.... wonder what other would get (BTW, all i did was set it to HIGH RES..then hit start).... also, had a few dozen things running in background..look good..but not AMAZING... although the demo part looks pretty good..and runs REALLY good...

Well, looks this game is heavy cpu load not gpu, or i am misunderstanding something.
Running @ low resolution and no aa and aaf = 3,8k
running high resolution and 8 aa and 8 aaf = 3,1k
This is good or bad?

I mean i need better cpu or graphics card.

Having 1800XP @1,8ghz + Fx 5800 @ 500/1000

And yes, it looks good, might even buy it.

Highres- 4xAA, 16xAF sliders to max- 4227- not much difference?

At least that was the last number I saw on the screen. What kind of a benchmark makes you look at the last number on the screen and remember it or right it on a piece of paper? Pretty dumb -unless it's recorded somewhere I cannot see..

-Abit NF7, 1800 Palamino @ 1686mhz, 9700pro @340/320, 512mb pc2700 +256mb pc2100 @292mhz dual channel -@2.5,3,3,7- (yes, it works), & Fortissimo III 7.1 (don't know if sound matters- but it plays sound)

high res like 4100, i had shitload of crap in the back and like 4x fsaa and 16x anisotropic filter.

looks like a solid mmorpg. im just worried that its gonna lose the FF feel with the aeons (or summons or guardian force wutever u wanna call it) and always been turn based. and like the story might just not be as rich and good character development like before

4500 @ high res setting. Using Fraps the FPS averaged around 25.

Thats the last number I saw before the screen went black, it had just rolled over 6100. Didn't try low res, but high looked pretty decent. Haven't been much into RPG's in the last couple of years...I like that close up FPS carnage...heh.
