"Our fortunately experience arrived A12 edition R300 and RV250, although only had the very short 12 hours time contacts with it, certainly could not comprehensive understand their performance, but it at least or made the special impression for us, based on the ATi NDA security principle, we inconvenienced its test result to announce, therefore here only put 12 pictures lets everybody satisfy a craving, how as for its performance, in at the release conference which immediately had to arrive everybody can have the objective understanding. But may disclose is works as the resolution and the hypothesis movement environment is more complex or is finer, it pull with the GeForce4 Ti4600 disparity in a big way, moreover this more pulls compared to the regular meeting in a big way, specially works as your resolution hypothesis is 1600x1200. It looks small, but maybe that's because the last supposed picture I saw was huge. I dunno.. still seems small. I wonder what the floppy power connector is for. The 8500DV has one, but I always assumed it was for the firewire port. Why would this have one? Hmm..

Default Post Translation

I've used an offline machine translator and this is what I got for the whole page:

"We lucky witness the R300 of A12 edition and RV250, have only very short one or two hours time and it contacts, but it has stayed at least still for us, doesn't understand across the board their function point the special impression, keep secret base on ATI NDA the principle, we inconveniently its test result will announce out, therefore here only puts on one or two pieces of photograph let everybody pass satisfy a craving, as far as its function how, at press release that is going to at once arrive everybody can there is an objective understand. But can disclose is when the resolving power and move environment that set are more complicated or fine, it with GEFORCE4 The TI4600 difference pulls big to be 1600x1200, moreover this proportion will big pull, specially when your resolving power is seting. "

"R300 needs receive on soft power supply interface square that expel can start, moreover see its PCB uses about only have arrived at 6 layers that's all, but board card on the solder as high as more than 1,000 point, but have a fever estimate is suitable , surprising, touch is hotter, disclose again a little is ATI R300 own nuclear rush pith appearance and any before GPU and package seal the mode is big not identical, is like what? May is like a CPU more, this seems quite interesting is not.

Drive interface: "

"Can use ATI accelerator to drive, everybody can discover to there be SMOOTHVISION Ii choose oh is that so, but the time is please not busy, we also are not so good as the detail test this pixel resists lack fidelity the skill. At 3dmark2001 SE Also is able among PRO the accurate distinguish comes out of R300.

At the same time we have also seen the RV250, it also not very scalds, even doesn't need add adornment any heat radiation fan, only need one heat radiation piece that's all. "

"Whether is the R300 or RV250, their frequency still finally didn't confirm finally, therefore the sample frequency that we see can't also represent finally the frequency, but from adopt the prominent module that accumulate comes to see, is at least prominent the frequency that accumulate is not too low. Default Post weird

1. No mem sinks on either board.
2. The RV250 looks very much like my 7200, with SMD mems - not BGA. edit: it has been said that R100 doesn't need the fan at stock speed.
3. Useless 3DMark screen - why didn't they run the tests?
4. Hey, where's the Rage Theater chip?

Must have been some serious "testing"... ___modding___ if they had to remove the slot cover on the R300.

I'll believe it when ATI releases it.

No, Yeti, it only says of integrated RAMDACs. The photo supplied by threadstarter David here shows the Rage Theater, left to the leftmost GPU and above the crystal osc. You can actually read the inscription on the chip.

The mems are also 'old style', although I read the 128MB 8500 featured BGAs (square) which have a better heat dissipation figure.

Well that pic is fake. I definately remember somebody over at RD3 saying that the theater chip would be embedded.

R300 we managed to integrate the 2D filters into the GPU as well
This is what i was reffering to... the R300, i haven't looked for the Rage on the R250 on the new site yet. Will do.

-----------------------
edit:

You are right, i don't see them on the R250. Wierd... oh well ... i'm sure ATI will clear things up in 2 weeks.

True, and I'm one of them. Just because something is said at Rage3D doesn't mean that it is automatically correct.

Everything that is said on the internet and posted in forums has a large percentage of being incorrect. I never totally believe anything until it is official.
