Nvidia realized that nobody is buying their cards for the past 6 months, they expected us to buying their 400-500 dollar PR bullshit with no support and performance that doesnt match the price tag, Hey Nvidia I guess the gaming community is not as stupid as you hoped for and now your paying the price, yes I know I own a MB that has nforce2 chipset which right now is not geting any support beacause Nvidia cant realese a bug free chipset driver since january

I'm glad too here this, i've got my machine at work working nicely with the latest drivers ... at home i've got an ATi Radeon with your drivers ... sometimes they have little bugs but mostly they are rock solid

Now i'm getting a free Ti4200, i was pissed at nVidia for taking away my precious drivers

I hope seeing some nice new joucy drivers out there

Well I certainly hope that Omega does not stick to just ATI drivers, and look forward to his next Nvidia set. I appreciate all the work he puts into these drivers and am always telling folks to use them as they are, for want of a better word, EXCELLENT.
and by the way, Thanks!!! The 43.45 quality ones rock

Thanks MD, I only usually post if I have something worth while to say, or if I can help someone out with a problem. Which by the way is not too often
I go on other forums to post gibberish and talk about crap

Big Grin

What wonder!!!

Nvidia can think!

Hopefully they will give you the promised support.
The experience I have made the last few years with Nvidia-support was more than worse. In talking big words they are the best, but giving professional OEM-support they suckz.

I wish you good luck and better support than in the past!

Personaly , If I was the 3rd party driver writer ( Omega's Writer ) , I would tell Nvidia where to stick it basicly to the tune of , one minute tells him to stop it or else , next " Oh , its ok now ". What a bunch of ................................

Dude .................. I simply would write Nvidia an email telling them its corprate money hungry clowns like you that dont need my tallents to show your a bunch of no hopes . And then I would devote a web page specificly with there letter of dont do this or else just to show the general public ( who now by the thousands have seen it ) just how much they ( Nvidia ) are loosers , after reading that first post myself of what Nvidia did to you I sold off my Ti 4200 and got a ATI 9700 Pro , I hate corprate pigs that think of nothing more than lining there pockets with more importance than the guys who just payed for there product .

And I personaly buids systems on a regular basis , I wont stock Nvidia anylonger and I will not build a system unless it has a ATI card .

Nvidia , you realy need to pull your head in , and by saying now its ok for this fine man to continue his work is SHAME on YOU Nvidia , I hope ATI flogs your company so bad , At least ATI listen to there customers and provide us what we want and thats somthing you need to try and do but you cant , ATI are still a far more Advanced than you lot and actualy care about there customers ! ! !

Welcome to DH, I'm glad you decided to come by. I totally agree with ya and think that the O-man should tell nVidia to bugger off. (Or at least charge them to make his sets for them)

well here is my 2 cents...

i think that what omega does is damn good i have run his drivers for quite a whle now, both ati and nvidia...i think that the video card industry could and should give respect to what omega does...

all the emphises seems to be on benchmarking and not so much on quality where IMHO
it should be!....... the newer cards out there will run any game going becouse the game makers are writing code that even most older cards will run on..they know 80 or so percent of the people out there are not running the lastest greatest ..and want to sell games... if the card makers would work on better grafix quality and better visuals ie:better drivers perhaps?...for the end user and not worry about how much ..."framerate is life crap"....a little slower frame rate in trade for better quality grafix would be damn good ..as it is people have to go spend $$350-500$$ or more?...every 6 months to keep there bench marks high...while that is good
for all pc part vendors at one point people are going to say enough is enough!!!

omega tries "and does real well IMHO" to bring quality that the driver teams of cardmakers have been not doing for the sake of better bench marking scores?

benchmarks should be a guage yes? but not to judge how u see yourself and your machine...

try quality over benchmark and you will or at least see that picking quality every time makes your gaming experence more fun!!!!

ok i will get off my soapbox now???!!!

PS

i do run high end systems at home cuz i like to test stuff for people i build high end desk tops and servers for.... but i tell the people i build for the same thing and when i show them they almost always agree and there systems are more stable to boot

Ill give nvidia credit, even though they just didnt come out and admit the real reason, just the fact they came out at all and reversed past decisions lends me to believe either someone got a wake up call, or there was some kind of shift of the power to be on there end. They displayed some guts here, stepping up to the plate. I give them credit for this decision and foresee this being the catylist (no pun intended) to open doors that have been closed in the past.
