Its Wednesday June 25th and all through the house,
-Not a computer was running, not even a mouse!
For our need to game and party and converse,
-Will be fufilled shortly, no time to reverse.
We packed our machines into our cars with great care,
-For our travel to Kentucky, where our friends will be there!
Its time for Million Man LAN... be there if you dare!
-and to all those attending, 'we'll see you there!'

Thats right, MillionManLAN is finally upon us! Look for some event shots to be posted over at www.nfinatesolutions.com (updated when possible).

To all of those who are lucky to attend, feel free to tap me on the shoulder and introduce yourself!
As for now, its time to power down - look forward to meeting some of you! Don't feel shy - meet up in the IRC server (irc.lanwar.lan #driverheaven) and/or come find me.

Locally, its 2:20AM and I'm just now getting things squared away.
Got off to a late start leaving home but after 5/6 hours of driving through the Midwestern USA countryside I arrived in Louisville KY.

Spent quite a bit of time setting up my servers but thanks to the helpful staff and some good friends of mine (AlexKidd, BUST.A.CAP, Demonsthenes, HideOut, just to name a few) I'm up and running - ready for anything the other gamers can throw at me.

I believe the estimated attendance is around 1000, but it only appears 900-ish people are here from the start. I'm sure more will fluxuate in and out during the course of the event.

I regret that I did not take any photos of my drive down, or my setup but I'll grab some 'Event Shots' when I, rather, everyone else wakes up and we start Day 2!

I would appreciate if those at the event who took pictures would contact me directly and not post on the forum.

Ive promised my friend David in Tomshardware not to post any pictures of the event until they get their article up, they are the exclusive media sponsor of the event.

I am so majorly unhappified that I ain't able to make it this weekend.

Not only am I not getting to go, it's looking like it's gonna be an absolute week-end from hell that ain't gonna end until about 9pm on Thursday.

On the brightside, the wife is off for about 10 days after that including the 4th....so it's all good.

Please frag some people for me folks, and have as much fun as I would have had!!! (And that is a LOT!!!)

(BTW-One other goodside to me upcoming hell-weekend-til-Thursday: The wife is feeling so bad for me about it that it looks like I just might be able to pick up a new CPU & memory this weekend, or at least get it ordered...

My wife isn't off. 3-9 today, 9-9 Sat, 10-6 Sun, 9-2 Mon, Tues off, 9-9 Weds, 9-9 Thurs; THEN vacation starts on the 4th.

Just got out of the Tom's Hardware Guide Q & A Session and wow did I learn alot.

But first I need to give a shout out to Terry from ATI for coming through on his promise.
I asked a question reguarding how hardware vendors view the competition in the market today, and as a gift for asking such a question - there was Terry with a brand spanking new ATI RADEON 9600!

No, I have not had the chance to install it but when I do, I'll be sure to post some benchmark results (non FutureMark results most likely)

As for now, its currently 5:30AM and I'm going to get some sleep. Going 3 days w/o it can make your eyes hurt!

Sorry guys for the late report back. Man i barely made it to work on time after the event Thursday! Anyways i had a ball!!!!!!!!!!!! I got to meet Terry makdedon and 2 other cool guys from ATI. I met others but i wont spoil the article! I am sorry to say that missed nforcer and andrew as well as others from DH. Believe me i told everyone about this great community we have here at DH. It was so awesome and everyone there was so nice, you did not think you were talking to anyone but an old freind. Thanks to all who where gracious enough to spend time with me and thanks Zardon!!

Now you probably missed it but during the Q&A session ATI was hosting there were three guys that came streaking into the room wearing nothing but RADEON boxes around their crotches! LOL crazy man.

Anyways Im back in Toronto and I have to say yesterday was the longest day of work I ever had. I was on the payroll from 9 am to 5:30 am talking to people. Make sure you read Toms Hardware Guide article as my buddy Dave Stellmack has a review of what is happening at the event

But wouldn't it need a better cooling to overclock well, cause all it has is the heatsink.
