Recent events have shown that Twitter is more than capable of beating professional, mainstream news organizations to the punch. Sometimes readers feel it even does a better job of covering news once it's out. However, Twitter's successes also expose its flaws. There are lots of inaccuracies and noise moving through its channels, and famous tweeters sometimes use it to present just one side of the story.
