I know man, its been a hussle everytime I have to install somthing. Had to regularly do reg fixes and use archive unzippers to change the install sequence using the windows installer. Its was a mission.

Still at least NWN2 works ok, ok so that doesnt work either. I give up lol, back to vista for me until either I sober up or I have the time and patience to fix the problems. Here's hoping the issues are fixed for release.

strange i haven't had a problem with ut3 on win7

Re: Vista's dead: Microsoft kills an OS and no one cares

I personally love Vista and Win 7. I have Vista Ultimate on every computer in the house and im dual booting Vista and Win7 RC Ultimate (64 on both) on my main rig. I am actually noticing some minor frame improvements in some games (especially WoW in 25-man raids) so I'm happy about that. The only anger I had at first with 7 was that I had to do some digging to find the Win 7 release of the logitech G15 software. It still doesn't work quite right and my LCD mod program doesn't work at all which makes me a sad Panda. Also, the Logitech G9 setpoint profiler thing has something wrong with it as well. I still haven't figured that out and no one else has posted anything about it online that I have found so we shall see.

Re: Vista's dead: Microsoft kills an OS and no one cares

how do you know when a reviewer is an idiot?
when his review's test machine has "Windows XP SP1"
there u go.
I've seen reviews up until 6 months ago running XP SP1 ... hello? SP1? Really?

Vista is/was great. x64 even better.
Windows 7 is an upgrade, I guess, because they added a few things and fixed a few things.
but it still looks/acts like Vista... which is just fine !

good luck
from experiece, LOGITECH doesn't give a flying *$()! about driver support for newer OS's
they will simply stamp a "WINDOWS 7 COMPATIBLE" sticker on their newest, most expensive hardware and create driver support for them only.

I remember buying a new logitech webcam a good 6 months after vista came out. it was at Best Buy, along with all their other cams... well NO DRIVER SUPPORT FOR VISTA !
I contacted them, and their chinese-bots said "sorry, that webcam is too old"
I checked the date of release, and it came out around the same time as Vista did.
But Vista was available for all companies 1 year in advance to prepare driver support..............................

i find this interest considering i've got such an old logitech camera.. that the orginal box states "Windows 98se support!" as if it were a new thing..

and i plugged it into windows vista x64 and it worked straight away ....

Yeah I'm not having any issue with the hardware themselves working its all good. THe damn utilities don't work. Since 7 and vista to some extent does a decent job of installing hardware drivers for you all is good with the world. But on the other hand, I just happen to own products like the G15 that really need a utility to run the screen. But I have high hopes considering that the G19 is most likely going to need 7 support....*DUH* so that means that I will, most likely, be able to snag something that I can rig up to work

Re: Vista's dead: Microsoft kills an OS and no one cares

damn. well mine didn't work at all. no driver whatsoever
it was a big fuss on the logitech support forums .... and those damn chinese auto-response-bots would simply repost the same explanation (basically, go out and spend some more cash on a new webcam sucker)
