that is a pretty dumb law. so, if you can't produce electricity in your country, who does?

I think there's something similar in Canada. A private person can't produce his own electricity and connect it to the grid. I think the main not allowed thing is to connect it to the grid. If you don't connect it to the grid, I think you are allowed to to it if you don't make more than 10 kW. I think someone told me that before.

in saskatchewan canada we can not only produce our own energy, but get inspected before hooking up to the main grid to sell the power to the main power company (if there is a surplus)


this can be done via wind generation, hydro, solar, or whatever form so long as it's as clean as possible, and safe.

There are a considerable number of places and people doing that here, i'd do it, but i kinda ed due to having the most trees around which would mean a lack of light, dead center of town aka no wind, and well, water isn't gushing around here.

So most of these options are mostly available for those out on the farms are away from town.
