Re: Report: Google Chrome 'coming out of beta'

Hmmm ... I dunno how something with the version 0.4 and with its extension plans just announced is ready for prime time, esp. with the way Google tends to keep stuff in beta forever. Without many of my Firefox extensions, which Google has said it would try to get "ported" I wouldn't even consider a change.

Re: Report: Google Chrome 'coming out of beta'

I realize now why they want to do this. OEM bundling! Still, the product is waaaaay too buggy for a 1.0 release (check out what you have to do to get Hotmail to work, though this may have been fixed). Seems somewhat unethical to release an "artificial 1.0" just to get deals.
