Death of a Gutless Wonder

Quite some time ago, I took a look at several cheap-o units as part of my Bargain Basement roundup in an effort to determine whether or not these generic units that come free with computer cases are worth trusting. Since then, I've had people hounding me to blow up some more of these units. Today, I've decided to listen to those people as I take a look at a generic "LPSW" branded 350W unit and try to let the magic smoke out.

Mmmm, toasty!

Creative use of cylindrical plastic package diodes with one end soldered to a heatsink, maybe they thought they could screw more power out of them that way.

PS. Does anyone know the OEM for a Trust 370W ?
