Opera is much-loved, but it's more of a cult browser. Its users swear by it, but it's never been able to make inroads into browser market share. And the star of the week, Google's Chrome, which stole the headlines away from IE8, has already topped Opera in market share.

Thats too bad. I still think Opera's biggest problem is marketing. The name sucks and doesn't really grab any attention and non-users only hear about it from other users. Too bad, people are really missing out.

I think everyone's just playing with google chrome. I'm an opera user and I've been trying out chrome, but lack of mouse gestures will send me back home to opera very soon.

I found one issue with opera it hates sony forums. Yes it's truth evertime I try edited my messege there it doesn't let me do it. I have used firefox to fix my messege there.

I've never like mouse gestures, good old keyboard shortcuts for me. I hated feeling like I was trying to cast a spell or trying a combination to complete a finishing move.

i quite like opera's mouse gestures, so i'll stick with it, however there are a few sites that don't quite like opera (such as facebook and my bank's website) so i usually use safari/ie7 as a backup in those cases - might take a look at crhome next week when i have some free time

I tend to use every browser out there on pc and mac for testing purposes (otherwise you end up with a site that doesnt work on several of them!).

I still think as an overall package that opera is the best of all the browsers however quite a few of them are good.

Chrome has a lot of potential as well imo, i know its still bug ridden and has a plethora of issues, however the minimialist interface and some nice design ideas (as well as google as an advertising platform) will probably help it to do well.
