DDR3 memory is starting to pick up steam thanks to broader motherboard support, greater retail selection, and of course lower prices. As the truly extreme kits push to frequencies above 2000MHz, it seems that the once zippy 1600MHz kits have become a bit more mainstream. That is just fine with me, as 1600MHz kits that sold for $500 or even $600 just six months ago can now be had for $200 or less.
