Two Dual-Memory DDR2/3 Motherboards
Early DDR3 adopters are still in hiding from the sticker shock (and poor timings) leveraged upon them by the emerging memory standard. Today's system builders, however, wish to be ready for anything in terms of upgradability. One possible solution is to build with a dual-memory motherboard.
Today we examine two such boards, one from ASUS (which we used in our Bang for the Buck Build It system) and one from MSI. Both offer a range of compelling features, including, of course, a future-proof path to DDR3 for folks whose wallets currently wish to stick with DDR2 memory. ____________ Review: Extremetech |
