The MacBook Air is the first Mac to support "Basic" multi-touch gestures, and it's widely expected that Apple's other notebooks will soon join the Air in supporting this technology, beginning with a refresh to the MacBook Pro line later this month.

Meanwhile, however, a recently discovered Apple patent application points to more advanced multi-touch options.
