TOKYO--Investors cheered an impending end to a format war for next-generation DVDs on Monday, pushing up shares of both Toshiba, on the verge of abandoning its HD DVD discs, and Sony, the leader of the rival Blu-ray camp.

Corporate greed cause this one to loose out.Instead of living high on the hogs they should have lowered their price in the beginning because of one main reason "PLAYSTATION 3". Im glad I dont run my company like the way these jokers did.
