unless ms is giving up on vista- & i dont believe that for a minute- a 09 release of a new os is just not in the wind.
i believe '7' is a new os & not an upgrade to vista ala win se. so i dont see it being reayt that soon.
i also think it will piss of a LOT of peeps. if previous releases are any example, vista should be in its prime then & peeps will be/have been migrating to it en mass. then ms wants everybody to fork out more $$ for a new os? i just dont think so.
a new os really stirs/messes up the software & hardware computer industry with driver & prog compatibility issues. things are just settling down now from vista & they want to stir the pot in another year? i really hope not.
i got home premium on the wifes & as soon as sp1 comes out i will install ultimate on a seperate partition on my comp. ive already made up my mind that i am locked into vista til 2010(at least). unless ms forces us to change with some sort of new outstanding technology(cant think what it would be but ms does get tricky) cant see why most people - besides early adopters- would want to go to the trouble/expense to change os that soon.
