It sounds like a ripping good yarn: A hacker, self-named after an arch-angel, attacks computers holding the manuscript of the most highly-anticipated book of the year. After grabbing the manuscript, key details of the ending are posted to a web site so fans will have no reason to buy the book.
The question is where to file the story—under fiction or non-fiction. However, members of the hacker community say such an exploit is possible, and, as always, there are lessons to be learned.
