Polling goes online, with a recruited panel
Source: IHT
________ PARIS: To traditional pollsters, a random survey adjusted to reflect the general population is the only way to properly measure public opinion. First developed in the 1940s by George Gallup, the father of modern polling, this requires hours of costly on-the-ground work by an army of specially trained pollsters. But a new type of polling company now says there is a better way than ringing on doorbells or calling phones to find out what people think. It's called the Internet. |
