You could probably make do with a regular mouse pad, or in the case of Logitech VX Revolution laser mouse, you may not need a mouse pad at all. This may be fine and dandy for regular users who only use their computers for web surfing, word processing, and the occasional image editing. But for hardcore computer game players in the audience, nothing short of the best will do. After all, a split second in extra response time or just the tiniest deviation in accuracy can mean the difference between being a fragging champ and a fragging chump.
