U.K. to get tougher on chatty drivers

British drivers who insist on babbling away on handheld cell phones are facing a further crackdown as the government attempts to rid the U.K.'s roads of the dangerous practice.

Starting February 27, motorists will face the threat of getting three points on their license as well a fine of about $118 (60 pounds).

Scant consolation as some arse in a landrover chatting on a mobile about insignificant shit runs over your wife and children. How about the car is confiscated and the mobile crushed. Then these idiots with security issues may possibly get the message.

Talking on a frigging mobile phone does not make you popular.

Would be nice if we have that in Canada even in Usa, man they're worst then drunk drivers.

One of my friend's mother got into an accident because a person cut him off by turn onto right lane which the driver didn't even bother doing shoulder checking. Couple months later it turned out that the driver was on the cellphone and didn't see the driver, they found time he was using the phone that matched the time of the accident. The driver now had to pay for the damage.

Just saying that talking on the phone while driving is extremely dangerous comparing of what I used to saw a lady doing MAKE-UP while driving!!!!
