Cable operators sued over on-demand

USA Video Technology, a small company that holds patents for the digital delivery of media, has filed suit against top U.S. cable operators over their video-on-demand services.

The Old Lyme, Conn.-based company said Thursday it sued Time Warner Cable, Cox Communications, Charter Communications and Comcast, alleging the cable operators violated its patent with their video-on-demand services offered to subscribers.
