Need.... Internet....

I just moved into my new apartment last thursday, called comcast the day before that to schedule an installation for internet. The appointment was for tuesday. I sat by my phone all day and not a ring. Called them up and they said that the guy "came" but I wasn't home. I told them they didn't honor my request to call the phone. They reschedule for today, wednesday. Get a call this morning (woke me up, too) telling me they can't come out today and they'll come out tomorrow at 9 am.

Posting this off a 1-bar unsecure wireless network that I can get if i crouch in one corner of my apartment and wear a tin foil hat.

I HAVE NOW GONE A WEEK WITHOUT THE INTERNET. I feel lost, disconnected, confused, I wouldn't even be able to keep track of what day of the week it was if I didn't know when my comcast appointments were and how that day relates to my current day.

Word of advice, if you're moving somewhere where there is no internet, call weeks in advance and schedule it or SUFFER.

I moved earlier this year and did without for about 2 months

apartments come pre-wired, thank god. But i feel ya.

Someone stole 3 of the 12 blade servers for my apartment building [yes we're rich and spoiled with 12 Sun microsystem blades per complex], so my internet was reduced to dial up speed for 6 weeks while they got them replaced

I feel your pain man im addicted to internet as well, Im currently paying 50 a week for this computer I can afford it but I want to build my own and dont want to go the month or 2 without internet.
