I'm probably missing something by not delving further,but it's not a story I'm unfamiliar with.
Here in scotland, we 'oh so proud' scots had a world champion at one point!
and not in some joke event like tiddly-winks.
squash champion Peter Nicol, best in the world.

So what happened?

well, there was so little money on offer to keep this champion of the world ticking over, that he defected to England, where he was guaranteed financial security.

please don't (violat3 ) turn this into a flame fest, I just wanted to hear some others opinions on the politics involved in the whole sorry mess, and how it makes you feel about your fellow 'citizens'???
