yours for a touch under £4.000 (around $7,000 to you USA guys), state of the art system for (and I quote).
"For company directors,
computer enthusiasts, serious gamers,
graphics developers, and anyone
else who wants the best style
and performance money can buy"
- Bluelement Studios Newsletter 11/05
The bluelement studios newsletter? ah of course we all know them well, right?
lets see the hardware list
Monitor Apple Cinema 23" TFT = £1000 (why not a dell 2405?)
Processor AMD Athlon 64 X2 4400+ (£350)
Memory 2GB DDR400+ (£130)
Mainboard Asus A8N-SLI Premium (£100)
Graphics nVidia 6800GT Exp 256MB (£180)
DVD Drive LG DVD+/-RW Dual Layer (£50)
Hard Drives 2x 300GB SATA (600GB) (£220)
PSU Antec TC2 550W Quiet (£60)
Case Lian-Li PC-7 Plus (£150)
Speakers Creative Inspire 7.1 (£70)
Kybd & Mse Logitech diNovo Wireless (£100)
OS Included Windows XP Pro x64 (£150)
Total: £2560 (if this guy has connections A LOT less) - his markup on a worst case scenario would be around £1,500 (probably nearer £2000 ($3500 per system). say an average of 3 hours building time, £500 per hour, minus fedex (free **cough** delivery), £100.

Jus bought two! awesome system! wow, I'm gonna be 1337.
/back to reality
Just goes to show the idiots that are around. I wonder what the delivery is, probably buys the components once they've paid for the system, shame really.

Hey, if people can sell toast for several thousand, selling a computer WAY more than what it's worth can't be impossible.
Honestly, you can become a millionaire with ebay

I just hate 'deals' like that...makes me want to call every one of those who bought to return it and let me design a better system for less, and I'd still make a fortune...
I can understand someone's quest for the almighty dollar and at least they're offering something for the $7000.00 (US), but I hate it - it's just not 'fair' to me. That individual or company knows what they're doing - and it is highway robbery.
I guess the Puritan work ethic must be ingrained in my psyche too deeply for me to appreciate those kinds of offers...
Apple's G5 Tower looks much cooler than that IMO. Now if someone would take the time to engineer that case and its awesome cooling system (noisy as it is...) with PC guts, that might be worth $7000.00.

i've emailed people bidding on things like games on ebay and told them about online shops that sell the things cheaper, with a warranty, and that don't ship 'from our supplier in singapore'.
I hate seeing people get ripped off so blatantly as happens on ebay.
I much prefer that I rip them off legit.
