Top drummer of all time
Since we got the bassists and guitarists, can't forget the drummers
In no particular order and from the top of my head:
Mitch Mitchell - May not be the best, but anybody that could have kept up with Jimi deserves respect in my mind...
Dave Grohl - Always pleasing to listening when playing the drums
Charlie Benante - speed drummer from Anthrax
Joey Jordison - Gotta give him props. The guy can play

ooo best drummer, I like them
best all time has to be neil peart from rush...that guys skills are just mad. Has anybody watched rush's newest dvd (rush in rio)? Another technical drummer I really like is bill bruford from yes and king crimson.
And for power, I gotta have bill ward from sabbath and john bonham from zeppelin

My favorite and a personal friend was the former drummer for the Scorpions (1977 - 1995) - Herman Rarebell. He pioneered the use of double bass drums in rock drumming.

Ray Cooper - percussionist extrordinaire!
Give a nod to Stewart Copeland (the Police...) and (why not?) Phil Collins.
Mick Fleetwood springs to mind too.

Come on, good drummers are a dime a dozen. Don't know their names, don't care.
They're easily replaced.

Neil Peart & Buddy Rich
On a side note: Neil just released a new instructional video and Rush will have a new DVD out on the 22nd.

Joey from Slipknot
The Drummer from Lamb of God (foget his name)
And slayers first drummer.
Edit: I would have to agree with Z on Lars, he is less than he thinks he is. He was probably the main reason their new ablum sucked (that and Hettfield getting out of rehab). He tries to hard to be the leader of Metallica. Hettfield and Lars argue all the time because Lars does not know his place. Hammett just sits there and looks cool (cause he is).

Dave Lombardo. And he was reinstated in the band during the last tour so he should be in the studio with them for their next album.
