Now the point of this post is not about the research itself, but rather the controversy drawn around it.
Many countries have laws against the use of stem cells in certain ways, and prohibit the possibilty of Human cloning. I can understand how people these days my be upset by the thought.

However this situation draws parallels with the past. The persecution of Gallileo for once, for his work with astronomy, and suggesting that the sun is the center of the solar system rather than earth.

Now i know the situations are a little different, but it's still inherently the same underlying thing.
I want to know what the rest of you think about this.

I find stem cell and cloning are the only way the human race can continue. I mean, about cloning, maybe not COMPLETE cloning but organ cloning would save thousands if not millions of lives every year. And more scientific data would be created and I just think that people should allow it....

Stem Cell has even greater potential and is something that we MUST do if we want to become a powerful race. Right now, we are riddled with desease and weakness but with stem cells, the possiblities are endless.

Of course, the problem is religion which refuses to allow this and morales that we have had as young kids. I'm not saying it's wrong to have morals and religion but you must think a bit further than saying, That's icky and not human....

We as humans are smart and thus, must push the bounderies of what is possible

It's just a matter of time before most of governments and most of society grow more accepting of stem cell research though.

Totally. Just time. I just hope it won't take eons like the usual but that people just accept the change intelligently and smartly... And quickly.

i honestly want to rip president bushes head off for not supporting research in technologies, especially stem cell research. i think it it one of the most important things we could be putin research and development funding into.
