Lol, ditto. She laughed and laughed during the trailer.
EDIT
I'm reading Roger Ebert's review of it (he's my favorite and most trusted critic) and I love how he gets worked up about Fox screwing up Firefly.

I dislike Christina Ritchy or however you spell it because she plays the same roll in ever movie she is in, and every one has to showcase how big her forhead and eyeballs are when she cries. I may see it, if there aren't a lot of crappy actors. Who directed it?

Ok for those of you who dont know the guy behind buffy and angel (josh sweden or however you spell the last name) was also behind firefly. he made a pilot (which explained everything) and the idiots at fox didn't like it so they gave him another chance. he made more episodes but the people at fox played them at wrong sequence and it was confusing so after 11 episodes firefly got cancelled. the idiocy of fox stopped a good show. so then josh went to another studio and made this movie since alot of people liked the show.

yeah theres actually like 14 episodes. 3 didnt air on TV. or something like that.
And his name is Joss Wheden. Or maybe I have his last name spelled wrong, but his name is definately Joss.
Its a really awesome show. Its basically a space western. Pretty much it comes off as a western...but they just happen to have spaceships instead of boats. Its really awesome though and the movie KICKED ASS! Actually the movie was very much not a space western. It was much more sci-fi than western.
Bah whatever the point is its a GREAT MOVIE that you must see.

If you haven't figured it out by the posts so far, this movie is also known as "Firefly: The Movie" It is the same cast/setting/plot.

The story of firefly is:
After the resources of earth got used up, they sent out colonys and colonized many planets. Most ended up in technoligy rich wester style (houses made out of resources they have around, medicines from the area around them. Their settler like.) Some planets, however; ended up highly technologicly advanced. Their called the core planets or primary plants or somthing (excapes me at the moment.) Alot of the costume and weapon design goes back to western style though.
The core/primary planets started a war to take control of all the colonys and some of the crew of Serenity fought aginst them, they utlimitly lost. Their good guys that are forced to be outlaws, doing general outlaw stuff: smuggling, stealing, robbing, etc.
I'm not sure if the movie goes into how the doctor and his sister got on the Serenity, but if those of you that have seen the movie don't know I can explain it further. Don't want to spoil it though, if its in the movie.
Its a great comedy/scifi/western.
I'm still waiting to see the movie, hopefully will this weekend.
The series is now being played on sci-fi channel from time to time. Might be able to catch it there.

fyi, there are funny parts in the movie but it is by no means a comedy. It lacks that part of the series. I guess basically it sounds bad but it isnt REALLY Bad. The movie was more serious but it was a positive part of the series.

So Gemini I assume you really liked this movie ? I never could get into the series was on Fox, but I guess it makes sense if Fox aired the episodes out of order. The movie previews I've seen so far look pretty good though. Who knows we could possibly see a series that was canceled before it's prime made into a theatrical movie picked up by a network that gives a damn (SciFi?) and made into a series again? Now that would be cool.

nah I dont think it'll become a series again. Universal has a contact for 3 movies. Thats like 9 episodes right there. I think thats what we're gunna see especially considering the things that happened in Serenity.
