Jimi is the man! Wish he was still alive though. Would have loved to hear more of his playing  The others: Mitch Mitchell and Noel Redding were pretty good too. In fact listening to Mitch's drumming makes me want to learn the drums so badly...

you heard any of the bbc stuff they did in the early days.
on the alexis korner show noel plays an 8 string bass! 
those guys were incredible, jimi would be all over the place at times and they always managed to make it sound absolutely seemless.
