cell phones?
dudes I just entered the wide open world of cell phones. I came into posession of a T-mobile to go sim card the other day with a rather substantial amount of moolah on the account. I slapped it into a phone I found in the attic one day and there I am.
cept i hate this phone. its old and gross and I CANNOT BELIEVE that its GSM and supports sim cards.
SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Does anyone know how I can get a decent flip phone for under $100? Cause the only thing im seeing is HUGE amounts of cash ponied up unless i do a contract.
oh yeah and Ebay has been worthless so far :'(
so any suggestions for cool phones? Or where to get them?

I have to agree, my company uses Verizon exclusively for us unless we are in Germany or Japan, but I know that coffee shops and some bookstores prefer to use T-mobile..

well heres the thing. A) I dont have a contract. Its prepaid. B) even if they gave phones for prepaid I uh...found the sim card. ...in a fountain... I shit you not. It still works great but somebody threw an effing sim card into a fountain! Anyway the point is that it was an LA number with alot of cash on it so I changed the number and reset the pin and everything but I cant get a phone out of the deal. I gotta pay full price for a phone.

I have T-mobile and use a Motorola V300. Nice phone, doesn't have so many bells and whistles, just a camera. Although, it being a Motorola, it is severely customizable. I've modded the crap outta this phone, and it's great. I'm not too sure how much it is now, though I'd say around $100

Costco is your best bet. I get mine for 300 and its sweet, but a decent one should cost you 150 minimum if your goin to use it on another plan. Usually if you buy a phon with a plan you can get an awsome one for free or end up spending about 100-200 for the best one out.

THATS exactly the phone im looking for. I LOVE the v300 but its pretty expensive most places.

I would go for it, I got this phone after my 1-year contract was done and over and upgraded to the V300.After all the rebates and everything it was $100. And if you do go for it, and think about modding it, check out Howard Forums. http://howardforums.com/forumdisplay.php?f=38 (link to the Motorola section). If you don't understand some stuff you could ask me

motorola makes the best...hands down.
V300 is nice, and fairly inexpensive, yes. You also may go to your local cell phone shop and ask if they have an display models or used phones

Though you have to be very careful with modding, as you have to do with all things when being modded
