I Got A Job!!!!
God I have such luck sometimes. I send a blind application to a very large investment bank (very large as in big 5) to the Human Resources department. After 4 weeks I thought they are not interested and have no jobs but I got a call last week for an interview in their Technology Department (huge) and if I can come tomorrow since its urgent… anyway good interview and another interview later today I was offered a job straight away! They lost 1 person from their training program and they needed 1 person more so I had some huge luck that i send my application in 4 weeks ago.
Well it’s a 16 month training program (voted best program 2004 in the IT sector) and after that I will get a job. I will start in September in London for 8 weeks (full on training) and then I will be working for several months here in Germany at their Technology and Operations HQ and then decide which final training program I will do.
I will be doing things like windows server admin, networking, databases, etc. but its more a management job since contractors are employed to do all the boring stuff
Basically it’s a amazing job with huge prospects, well paid etc.
For the 8 weeks in London I will get a Bank apartment hahhaah it will be sweat
Anyway, a bit of luck, some good interview skills and a good degree later I look set for a good career a good job and some ££££ or euros that is… £2000 after tax etc. every month (mhh I think the hardware upgrade will happen rather sooner then later, especially since I live with my parents)

Remember the 10% rule... pay yourself first, 10% of whatever you make goes into long term savings. You're making nothing now, so you won't miss the 10%...but 5 years from now it will be the smartest move you ever made.
Congrats.

He's right, pay yourself first. It helps out when you get older and dont want to work anymore. Find out the minimum percentage (6% -10%, usually) you can pay into retirement and the company will either match it (ideal) or pay an additional percentage (usually 3% or so). Pay that amount, then every raise you get, add and additional percentage till you max out (15% maybe). It will take 10 years off your retirement and give you more time to golf in your golden years.

you dont need mad maths skills maybe some... but nothing mad hehehe
and yeah the thing is with this job I am covered.
I get health insurance
Retirement
And an extra retirement thing from the bank
50% of my train travel
A bank account
Mhh I think that’s it… but its always so worth it to work in a large corporation… I think M$ is the best employee, they even have their own “special” school for disabled children
