I just get bored fixing bugs - I'd rather be writing new code.
Also, after 5 years of coding VB and my company wants the next product to be in Java I really can't wait to get started on it!

What's sleep?
I'm about 20 miles due south of Chicago, but time is pretty irrelevant to me since I started the Mom-thing and gave up sleep. ("Sleep causes cancer man, everybody knows that!" -Neil)

You know its not like we are at different times you know... everyone everywhere is at the same time.
I really don't understand the whole adjustment thing for the various time zones... matter of fact its confusing.
Look here... everywhere around the world its May whenever it is May... and its June whenever it is June ... right? So why not just say that (for the love of god) it is the same time everywhere. People will just adjust to it.... I mean July is winter in the southern hemisphere and everyone is ok with it!! I would be perfectly comfortable getting up at 3:30 PM... instead of 7:30 AM ... as long as i knew that it was exactly the same time everywhere else in the world. (universe)
Who's with me?

Actually its quite simple. It means that at a given time in each timezone, the sun is roughly in the same place along a given longitude. Longitude is a line that circles the earth at a set height (ie running east to west). Latitude is the same, but verticle and outside the scope of tbis hopefully simple explanation.
This is important, as the coming and going of the sun dictates our natural instincts as humans governing the time we wake, work, eat and sleep. Of course this excludes sex, drugs and rock 'n' roll which is also outside the scope of this still hopefully simple explanation.
Now, its simply rude to call someone up at 4:00am and start badgering them about which operating system to install because you just know they're gonna say "fsck /dev/hda5 -off". So knowing what timezone you and the person you want to/are currently dealing with is of great benefit from not offending and disturbing the vital sleep needed by todays youth.
Hope that clears that up for ya

College Student <-------- me
I understand the methodology behind the creation of the time zones.
The point i am pushing is that having to adjust your watch/clock etc... for different time zones... (and thus creating a lot of confusion) ... just for the sake of being able to say "Oh hey John... I reckon it be 12:00 since the suns high"... IS NOT WORTH IT.
The simple fact of the matter is that it is 1:36 pm everywhere in the universe right now. Yep you heard me straight. Now the thing is people in london like to call it ... (and correct me if i'm wrong) .... 6:36!! Now... the distinction to me is quite small... and i would be happy to call this hour 6:36, 10:40, 234:356 or The Queen Of England...
The point is that we don't need to have this wierd synchronization of the clock with the sun. We can just adjust our own lives to wake up at 2:00PM and go to work from 3:00-12:00 instead of 9-5... (It would be rather silly and immature if we couldn't)....because there would be no adjustment to make. It would still be light... and we would still have coffee.
The only difference is that clocks EVERYWHERE IN THE WORLD would read exactly the same... which would make life much simpler.... and would be much more in line with the idea that time is at exactly the same place everywhere.... LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well good luck reading all that... hope i got through....
Anyway.... so who's with me?
