Dad's new car - 1995 Jaguar XJR
don't know much about what's underneath the hood other than a straight 6 with a supercharger

they are pretty common here for instance, there is a love and hate relationship with them, much like other mechanical wonders, but lots of middle aged successful men own them and love them, I miss the old XK machines...now that is a thing of beauty as well.

Oooh, nice Jaguar there, good to see that after 10 years the old cat still looks the business, have you been for a spin yet? if so has it still got the uber quick responses the XJR used to have?

I would check for a slight wobble or vibration at say 120 mph,...yeah...that is a good speed to test the alignment and handling...LOL
I presume it will become a BOOM car now...LOL

Under Ford they have become another generic mid range car, in the 70's to early 90's they were unique cars, made with passion and it shown, now it only exists for one reason - money - and it shows.
Anyway, I hope your dad has lots of good driving from his new car, just make sure to keep an eye on that speedometer, Jaguars usually are smooth so its easy to forget the speed

Ford makes crap cars, period.
I work across from a Big Ford dealership, their cars always crapping out (new ones) in our parking lot, lol
Jaguars (esp the new ones) aren't so great of a car, more like you're just buying the name over everything else
Go buy a geo metro haha :P

wobble at 120mph… what's that in kph, coz i really doubt my dad will be driving it THAT fast
bought it second hand at AU$35,000, when the retail for new is about $175,000
and i haven't been able ot drive it, it's illegal until im off my probationary license (which i have still to get)

I recently drove down the Autobahn at over 100 mph and was passed constantly and even given the international good luck sign....germans drive very very fast...and remarkably, you see english cars occasionally..
