Are you asking for us to pick between the two, or to identify the best movie?
If between the two, Pulp Fiction.
If for all time, you can start with: Lawrence of Arabia, Citizen Kane, The Grand Illusion, The Seven Samurai, Goodfellas, Ikiru, Bladerunner, 8 1/2, La Dolce Vita, or L'Aventura and go from there.

Bubba Ho-Tep is great. Favorite movie of mine, probably O Brother Where Art Thou. That, or anyhting by Wes Anderson.

If we're talking about 'best action movies', I have a few to offer:
- Die Hard: intelligent plot, well cast
- Hunt for Red October: See Die Hard
- Terminator 2: 10 years later and it hasn't dated at all. Will stand the test of time.
- Aliens: Knows it can't 'outscare' Alien, so inherits the good bits and takes a turn towards action. Solid film.
- Goldeye: The best of the 'modern' James Bond films
- Goldfinger: The quintessential James Bond classic film. Car, guns, world domination, Sean Connery, chicks.
- Blackhawk Down, Saving Private Ryan, Enemy at the Gates: All 'modern' war films that are gritty, realistic, but still tell a good tale. (note: the released german prisoner in SPR is a bit too 'deus ex machina' for me)
- The Matrix: Its still good, despite how badly the sequels blow
- The Empire Strike Back: The best of star wars. Improves on Star Wars, not as episodic as ROTJ, and not crap like the rest.
- Heat: The gunbattle at the bank heist is one of the best ever filmed. The sound editing is GODLIKE.
- Ronin: Best spy movie in the past decade.
- Raiders of the Lost Ark: The original is still the best. Last Crusade is good too.
- Apocalypse Now: It captured the spirit fo Vietnam if not the facts.
And as for 'classics'...
- The Guns of Navarone
- Where Eagles Dare
- Lawrence of Arabia
- The Wild Bunch (one of the best westerns ~ever~... Sam Peckinpah rocks your world)
- Whatever Akira Kurosawa touches: Ran, Kagemusha, Yojimbo, Seven Samurai, Sanjuro, Throne of Blood...etc (aka Kurosawa PWNS Lucas)
- Bridge over the River Kwai
- Spartacus (Ben Hur is much weaker film, but the chariot race is awesome even today!)

Neither of the two, although they are both extremely good movies.
The best movie of all time would have to be SPACEBALLS!!!!

Tis a good one.....but I think Office Space or Super Troopers is better, as is Monty Python when it comes to comedy

It would be so hard for me to choose what I would call the best movie of all time.
However, no one has mentioned a movie I recently watched that completely 'blew my socks off'.
"JUST CAUSE" starring Sean Connery is an excellent movie. At one point, I thought the movie was ending and it was only half way through.
