Default Post StarWars Episode 2: Attack Of The Clones on DVD??

Okay so I saw the thread at rage3d.com in offtopic area. Supposely it's on DVD here at this place.

http://www.dvds-warehouse.com/default.htm
click under New Editions

I orderd one just for my amusement sake, hell for only 9.95! Moneyorder as they don't take creditcards that I saw.

Really, they got some great deals here, I think I will also order StarWars Triolgy special edition for only 28.95! That's a freaking awesome deal. But only if this other deal pans out.

Default Post Of course, you do realize...

...that's it is either impossible or illegal-as-hell!

You must keep us posted. I'm very curious to see what this is all about. The fact that they don't take credit cards makes me think it's probably a scam, but I won't say until I hear more evidence.

So I got the payment info email back. The person is located in Los Angeles, right next to me basically! I will let you know what's up. I'm sending out the payment tommorow. If its truley DVD, it's probably illegal as all hell. One person might think; well here's what he said...

"I can almost promise you that it is a telesync. Ummm & yes it can possibly be on dvd. Now weither it is an offical dvd or unofficial is another story. Chances are that it is a unoffical dvd. My guess is that within the next few months their will be a screener release. Anyways theirs my 2 cents."

What the hell is telesync?

Anyway, on there website, they state they have been there for years, could be all jive talk but like I said we shall see. Under warrenty tis what it says...

Warranty

All DVDs purchased from ATGWS are GUARANTEED to be:

1. BRAND NEW condition, complete with FACTORY SHRINK WRAP

2. Playable on region 1 DVD players ( USA / North America region). For International buyers PLEASE NOTIFY US so that the appropriate coded DVD can be shipped to you.

"Telesync" would mean that it's been recorded with a high-quality digital camcorder with either a direct sound feed or remote pick-ups place directly on the theatre speakers. (Read that as decent-to-good video with good sound. )

I got an e-mail reply, but no details except the ones I supplied. Please let me know if it is anything...I still haven't gotten a chance to see the movie yet and probably won't until it's out on DVD. (There are a few limitations imposed on ya when you have a 2 year old glued to you....)

It claims "Widescreen, English Dolby 5.1 audio, removable English subtitles. True DVD quality, guaranteed!".... I don't think that telesync could possibly do all that. I guess they either are untrue to their guarantee and sell telesync anyway or else they must have made some super deal with lucas (very unlikely).

Default Post I don't know either, but...

....I got my details on how and where to direct payment and figure it's worth $14us for me to try it, so long as I have no expectations I figure I won't be disappointed. It'll make an interest ancedote if nothing else....

Tell us how the DVD looks once you get it and whether you get full Dolby Digital 5.1 sound.

Sure will, the day I get it. The money order was sent out today.

"Hi Jonathan,

Thank you for your email; yes, it was a great movie!

I will ship your order upon receipt of payment, and most orders are complete within 7 to 10 working days.

Please let me know how else I can help.

Thanks again.

Kelly"

Just curious, where did you see that? I looked & didn't see it. The only place I saw that listed was in the StarWars Trilogy: Special Edition DVD.

Anway, there guarantee is Brand new Factory Shrink Wrapped on all DVD's!

I ordered it last night. I got the e-mail, but I have to send off from St. Louis. So, it will take me a little while longer to get it than you. I hope it is DVD-quality. If so, then I will do the same as you and buy the trilogy.....

Has anyone received a copy and can give details on it's quality? I get the impression it's like the copies you can get on the street in most cities but I could be wrong. I have seen a bootleg copy of the original star wars on dvd, I think it was copied from either the vcd in Europe or laserdisc since it claimed 5.1 surround. Video & sound quality on that flick was very good.

has it arrived yet?

Out of interest, [when it arrives it's not just a VCD authored on DVD is it?

We have a computer fair in Kendal tomorrow... there is a guy there who sells bootleg albums (like 5 CDs with the latest 40 albums in MP3 format on them). He has had vcd's before, I'll see if he has it...

No I haven't gotton it yet, they said it takes 7-10 working days to get processed & deliverd after they receive the money. Today will be I think 5 working days since they received my money. I've been talking to them regulary through email. So hopefully it will arrive soon, like on Monday or Tuesday. As it states on there sites, all DVD's purchased there are guarenteed factory shrink wrap, so we will see. As soon as I get it, I'll let you know what's up with the quality & stuff.

Well this is kinda off-topic to this thread, but yesterday I picked up a Pioneer DVD/R-A04, I want to know how long it will take to burn one of these 4.7GB discs to the brim, any ideas guys?

Default Post A DVD-burner?!?!

You lucky stiff!

Quote:
2X speed DVD-R burner, writes a full 4.7GB disc in 30 minutes!
A quick google hunt pulled that stat up for the Pioneer DVR-104 DVD-R DVD-RW / CD-R CD-RW burner with Sonic MyDVD, if that helps any.

A DVD-burner....oh the "back-ups" I could do with that!

And what kinda shitty ass quality is it in? I made the mistake of downloading LOTR telesync once. I'm not downloading any more videos unless if they are DVD rips.
