Favorite Drummer
Lately since i've been listening to a lot of rock, i seem to be really interested in the drums. usually the drummer is the first person i focus on in a band, then the other members. So what r ur favorite drummer?
Joey Jordison - Slipknot (f*cking great drummer especially in EyeLess, Surfacing, Spit It Out, and some other songs)
David Silveria - Korn (Loved the drum set he used in KoRn (1st album) )
Lars Ulrich - Old Metallica
Chüd (C. Grey) - Mudvayne
Dave Grohl - Nirvana, QOTSA - Song For The Deaf (Even though you hardly heard him)
John Dolmayan - System Of A Down (The drumming in "X" was f*cking great, i think)
Meg White - The White Stripes (Not the greatest drummer, but i still like her)

Very few of those you people mention play real rock, Lars Ulrich is generally considered one of the worst drummers in heavy metal btw (I'm not making this up)
For me the most innovative drummers that have greatly influenced music as an art are John Bonham and Nick Mason.

Uhmmm, thanks for the info. Wasn't asking for the drummers that influenced rock the most, was just asking for people's favs...

Speaking of drummers, I have to mention Phill Colins. Yes I know, not a lot of people are aware that he is one of the best jazz drummers of the 70's. Just listen to the band called Brand X, album 'Unorthodox Behaviour', song 'Nuclear Burn' to get the idea.
Shouldn't miss Scott Travis, I'll never forget the first time I heard 'Painkiller', blew me away...
EDIT: Completely screwed up his name - Phil Collins
