225,000 tsunami deaths now reported
http://www.cbc.ca/story/world/nation...ami050119.html
Death toll rises to 225,000, as Indonesia revises its estimates. Indonesia now is approximately @ 160,000 dead, which was the original theoretical estimate for total worldwide deaths for the disaster.
Fortunately major disease outbreaks have not been seen yet by WHO.

$100 donated through work. Doubled up via Canadian government matching personal donations. Red Cross -- I'm atheist so avoid World Vision. I'm in my late 20s making good coin though, so its all relative....$15 hurts some people more than $100 does to others.
Cholera apparently hates salt water, so fortunately the tsunami might have some benefical effects for the survivors. So much for the local crops though...it'll take at least a year for the most basic economy to return in most regions.

As bad as this Tsunami is, another Krakatoa (only ~ 125 years ago) or a deep-sea 9+ earthquake would be far, far worse.
Mankind is much more effective inflicting violence upon itself. 800,000 dead in the Sudan this year and not so much as a 30 second blurb on CNN.

Tulc, how do you get 2800+ score for 3dmark 2005 on your rig? I've got an Athlon 64 3000+ w/ a 9700 pro and I can barely get 2100.
I'm assuming (hoping, actually) that you're overclocking it big-time?
