URGENT: Glass found in ends buttermilk biscuits!
I'd opened one package and noticed the batter had hard little chunks "tiny" on
one end I fugured nothing of it just tought it was poorly mixed / dry dough or
something an tossed that one out the rest seemed ok and we cooked ate
them....
Well to my suprise when we opened the second package we had bought again
the ends we that way this time both ends....So i needed thew it and rolled
the dough back and fourth beween my fingers untill what was hard was
exposed, little tiny hard and clear shard of what appears to be glass!
Both ends had them the rest i couldn't feel anything but obviously didn't eat
them.....I tosed them in a bag and dug the other can out of the tash to get
the date codes...
We'd had them for a little while
The date code on the cans are
(00.25)
13FEB
05C41
Not sure what to do...
figured I better contact someone couldn't find any contact links on your site

Well, doesnt surprise me actually, ALDI isn't exactly an A+ store if you know what I mean.
And the worst thing I found was a magnet in my chocolate chip ice cream.. :/

My wife found broken glass in a jar of baby food about 11 yearsago.Won't name the company, but it's a very popular baby food company . They actually sent reps to the house to pick up the baby food from us and offered coupons for more .Mywife was more upset over the fact she had fed my son several spoonfulsbefore she found the glass shards. Don't think it really harmed him toomuch. That is unless it caused him to be a hardheaded 12 year old.

These peole just want to kill us. I knew it, I just knew it. It's good to hear that I'm not the only one though, otherwise I'd really be worried, I can tell you that.

I got bread from that place once in college. I cooked a grand dinner, pasta, with tomato sauce. i fried some potatos and mixed a nice vodka tonic to wash it down. I began to eat the pasta and enjoyed some bread with it. About half way through my first piece, I looked down to notice the bread had a nice green dusting on the top, just under the butter. I looked closer and realized the bread was covered in mold. Needless to say it ruined my meal. From then on, I spent the extra couple of dollars and went to a real grocery store.

24 hours and still no reply from them
the biscuts are packed and distributed by "aldi" foods so they don't just sell them either
I'm just glad I didn't eat the end pices...
shards of glass doesn't do the body good

Dear XXXX,
We received your email regarding an incident you had with our buttermilk biscuits. The problem you had is the result of leavening agents that are left in dough, which create crystals that resemble glass. These crystals are a natural by-product of the reactions of the leavenings or baking powders used in the dough to give the baked biscuits the desired volume and texture. These will usually dissolve during baking and are not harmful. Long storage periods at refrigerated temperatures also allow for growth of these crystals.
We would like to send you a letter for replacement of the biscuits, but need your address to do so. Please contact us by phone at XXX/XXX-XXXX so that we may obtain this information from you.
Thank you
Patricia Berke
