Just out of curiousity, have there always been purple M&M's and I'm hallucinating or is this a new color for them? (Stupid I know, but it's tickling the back of me brain. )

IIRC they sold M&M advertised with "Purple" in the packets for about 6 months in the UK. Good advertising campaign and sales went through the roof.

What's with the new colors??!? Why make it more clorful? I liked it when they were all the earth-type tones. My favorite (favourite) being brown.
