because I am a man
Because I'm a man, when I lock my keys in the car I will fiddle with a wire clothes hanger and ignore your suggestions that we call a road service until long after hypothermia has set in.
Because I'm a man, when the car isn't running very well, I will pop the hood and stare at the engine as if I know what I'm looking at. If another man shows up, one of us will say to the other, "I used to be able to fix these things, but now with all these computers and everything, I wouldn't know where to start." We will then drink beer.
Because I'm a man, when I catch a cold I need someone to bring me soup and take care of me while I lie in bed and moan. You never get as sick as I do, so for you this isn't an issue.
Because I'm a man, I can be relied upon to purchase basic groceries at the store, like milk or bread. I cannot be expected to find exotic items like "Cumin" or "Tofu." For all I know these are the same thing. And never, under any circumstances, expect me to pick up anything for which "feminine hygiene product" is a euphemism.
Because I'm a man, when one of our appliances stop working I will insist on taking it apart, despite evidence that this will just cost me twice as much once the repair person gets here and has to put it back together.
Because I'm a man, I must hold the television remote control in my hand while I watch TV. If the thing has been misplaced, I may miss a whole show looking for it (though one time I was able to survive by holding a calculator).
Because I'm a man, I don't think we're all that lost, and no, I don't think we should stop and ask someone. Why would you listen to a complete stranger, I mean, how the heck could he know where we're going?
Because I'm a man, you don't have to ask me if I liked the movie. Chances are, if you're crying at the end of it, I didn't.
Because I'm a man, I think what you're wearing is fine. I thought what you were wearing five minutes ago was fine, too. Either pair of shoes is fine. With the belt or without it looks fine. Your hair is fine. You look fine. Can we just go now?
Because I'm a man—and this is, after all, the 21st Century—I will share equally in the housework. You just do the laundry, the cooking, the gardening, the cleaning, and the dishes. I'll do the rest.

they specifically built the new cars that you need the entire set of garage tools to even begin to inspect them. It's very irrating to have to remove so many things just to get to a damn battery even.. and to top it off.. they designed a bracket to use a special bolt head tool to even begin to get true access to it... i'm frankly pissed that it's even getting to the point of getting difficult to change your own bloody oil in these cars...
I miss the older cars, not only were you actually be able to fit your arm from the drop and be able to touch the ground without even thinking about it...
Or if something goes wrong, you can easily diagnos the problem.. were as the new cars just frankly won't let you see the problem OR they just won't run at all because the computers automatically enable auto shutdown on before it starts due to finding a problem...
majority of the problems is related to the computer THINKING there is something wrong when there is absalutely nothing....

ya i hear some newer cars wont even allow you to open the hood. there locked with a special key that only the dealership or a mechanic has. thats complete BS not even being able to pop your own hood....but thats what bolt cutters are for.

Then when you have a problem and are dumb enough to take it to a dealership.
Mechanic: "Oh, i see you've cut the lock mechanism off the hood"
You: "Why, yes, yes i have."
Mechanic: "Well, looks like your warranty is void, thatll be 524 dollars sir."
You; "For an oil change?"
Mechanic: "Well, we found a bunch of other problems, but most are fixed now."
You: "WTF?!?!?!?!"

my dad takes his truck into a shop to get teh oil changed, but only because they have a sale on it like ever other week. its something like 10 bucks for a 10 min change. after priceing things out it would cost like 8 bucks to buy the filters and the oil and then you have to crawl under the truck and drain the oil, take the oil some place and dump it, so on and so forth.
basicly, for 2 bucks more then it would cost him to do it himself, it makes it alot faster, easier, and cleaner for them to do it.
if they didnt have the good deal on it, hed still do it him self at home, but this just makes things alot easier.
