Holy Crap the Wife's Got a Baby In the Oven!!

Well, what do I say. Wife's been feeling a bit green around the gills as of late and we went to the doctor this past Friday to have some tests run to see what was up. We are both in our mid '30s with three chaps already and neither the doctor nor my wife and I even considered that she may be preggie. When we left Friday the Dr was leaning towards a gall bladder problem and he run some "routine tests" just to be sure. But to all of our surprises she is four months pregnant! What a fantastic early Christmas gift, the kids are going to be so surprised. Funny thing is that it seems a little scary finding out compared to the other 3. Don't know if it's the wisdom of age or the fact that soon I'm not going to be getting too much sleep again. And it's going to hurt a whole lot more missing sleep at 36 compared to 26.

I think yer a little scared because an increase in children exponentially increases grocery bills and college tuition

I'm only 17(soon to be 18) But I can honestly say that I plan on being a father some day. (dont worry guys...not for awhile. HAHAHAHA) For now I'll party though and spend cash irresponsibly(cause i can!

I'm glad we found out when we did. Yesterday we went to the OB doctor and got our first look at the little squirt. She is 4 and a half months along. Doc says that my wife has something called placenta previa, as I understand it the baby is in a position over the uterus (might misspelled that one) in such a way that it could cause a sudden tear and massive loss of blood. It is a very serious condition which can lead to death. She is now on bedrest, can get up to go to the bathroom and such but nothing more. I am now in charge of the house, cleaning, cooking and such. Good thing I've got a 15 year old daughter and 12 year old son to help shoulder the burdon

. On a more positive note the little one appears healthy and next week if the baby cooperates we should get a view of whether it's a boy or girl!

Yeah, maybe daddy can get some sleep on sunday mornings at least. Hope the baby is nice to mommy for another 5 months. And my guess is that the daughter will be overjoyed, while chances are the son will think "meh, it'll be noisy and smelly".

I wouldnt worry about the condition. It is serious yes, but it is not generally fatal. Modern medicine has really come far in the field of pregnancy(and everything else too)
