I work directly opposite a northern lady at work, and yes, I have picked up a slight amount of northern speak because of it.
Why I start a phone conversation with "hey up" is directly because of this

Hehe, I Technically can push 3.2ghz out of, but it requires voltages I don't like using and isn't 100% stable in OCCT, even if everything appears stable.
Great overclocker though, 800Mhz on base is not a bad thing at all.

I've pushed mine to 2.96GHz without even prodding the voltage settings which i was pretty proud of. 100% stable too
So in fact you only got 40mhz up on me, and is yours over-volted at 3 ghz?

Correct me if i'm wrong but wasn't the same thing said around the release of the PS2 and Xbox?
While most of the article was complete trash i do agree that that majority of developers are single handedly pulling the once mighty PC down a few pegs. If they aren't ripping ideas out of Halo or Gears of War they're deciding which shades of Grey and Brown to put in their generic "Space-marine-saves-the-world 27" shooter.
What happened to quality games? The only companies seemingly interested in making a good game now are Valve, Bungie and 2K (I heard Duke Nukem : Forever is expected in November this year, Looks like we'll be waiting forever more.). Everyone else is just milking their existing franchises down to it's last few dribbles of entertainment value. Don't get me wrong Ubisoft hit the nail on the head with Splinter Cells 1 to 3, It was tense, creepy and genuinely entertaining to play as long as you stuck by the rules. Splinter Cell 2 listened to the fans and included more sections where you could get away with killing people. And Splinter Cell 3 made everyone rejoice by scrapping the no-alarms and no-killing rules, the games just got better up until number 3. Then they decided to release double agent and it was hard to shake the feeling they were just starting to milk Fisher too much. Maybe if they'd stopped at Chaos Theory, Ubisoft could be remembered for making "That high quality Splinter Cell" series, but because they've turned Fisher from trained professional to prison yard Meathead we'll remember them as an originality killer.
EA are even worse for this. EA Don't make games, they just re-make their old ones. How long has the Medal of Honor (deliberate american spelling.) series being going on now? about 10 years? That's longer than the actual World War 2 went on! I'm starting to think EA's Medal of Honor branch are being paid by the american government to continuously try making america look great for Pete's sake, let it die with Airbourne! I think i'll turn into a nervous wreck if i have to endure another hype fest over a new MOH game.
