i hate cars.
the vette runs again, and quite well i might add. the only problem is that it doesnt move.
i switched out carbs again, since the one i had been useing went to shit. the one ive got on it now idles quite nicely, but the internal accl pump is shot to shit. as soon as i actually give it gas it stalls out.

Warning: adding 1 tsp garlic powder to spoon bread is not a good idea. Learned that one the hard way. I'll let you know if adding less works better. Or perhaps I won't because I don't want to waste another half-hour of my life. We'll see.

Are we talking like a bread pudding here? I get that. Bread pudding gooooood!!
If we are talking about a wheat or pumpernickle or something.... makes it kinda hard to put a slice of ham between to pieces doesn't it.

That's the beauty of it. Instead of putting meat between two slices, you just toss a whole bunch of ground meat into the batter and cook it all at once. It is a complete meal.

ok, now it's starting to sound more reasonable.
Buy it boxed, or just got a "like mom used to make" recipe?

I got the basic spoonbread recipe from my cookbook. I figured it might be fun to try adding things to it, so I did. Meat and cheese works great. Garlic does not.
And it is not a "like mom used to make". I tried to get my mom to make it for about 10 years. I finally took matters into my own hands when I got my own place. Now she wants my recipe.

Yeah, so the cops are here. Not here as in my apartment. Here as in outside. Here as in investigating the couple who just went careening into a massive concrete planter in the median and broke it in half. At 12:30 they am had to be drunk. You usually don't have a head-on collision with a 4 foot wide and 8 foot long hunk of concrete with bushes growing out of it in the median with enough speed to break it in half in a 30 mph zone in the middle of a well-lit city after midnight without being drunk. Luckily no one seems to be hurt. But now there is a 4 ft by 4ft hunk of concrete laying in the middle of the road giving the taxi drivers a hard time.
Yeah I'm bored. At this point when I hear a "screeeeech...BANG!" it isn't even interesting enough to warrant much attention assuming everybody is still able to walk and the cops get there in a reasonable amount of time. Guess I better plan my presentation and get to bed.
