graveyard sucks....but having a "floating schedule" is perhaps worse.
I never know when I'm working until like, 8 days ahead of time

Yeah I worked midnight to 8AM for 2 years, I swear to god it messed up my sleeping schedule for the rest of my life. 2nd shift wasn't too bad.. something like 4PM to midnight.. but it still messes with your head.

You have sleep issues? Well..sorry to say..but your f'ed then... It not only messes with your sleep but also with everything else, your system will be totally confused at first, you will get hungry at weird times and at the time your supposed to you will not be able to eat. Your internal clock will get all messed up. It's really not fun. Like i said, i'm done with the graveyard shift for over a year now and my system has still not ajusted to "normal" time.

yea, i've had issues falling asleep, waking up, eating, etc. since i was a kid. the most i ever sleep is 6hrs. and for me "sleeping in" is getting 8hrs. of sleep . like, i'll be tired and want to go to sleep, but when i get to bed, i'll just lie there on my bed and not be able to go to sleep. sux really

Thing about graveyard is that you'll eventually get used to it and it will feel like your working normal hours, problem is..getting used to it...like most things in life...

Lightning struck VERY close to my house.... like 3 times in 10 seconds.
I turned off my PC.. unplugged it- waited till storm passed.
Plugged PC back in.. I hear click click click click.. etc..
It won't boot.. Gets stuck on boot screen detecting IDE drives.. It detects my main one.. the new 160GB one. I also have an older 40GB with lots of stuff on it. It won't detect that one.
I turn it off - let it sit for a few minutes.. Try again.. Same thing, but this time I go into BIOS setup. I see no 2nd IDE drive.. Restart.. It detects the second one, but numbers are all wrong.. it won't boot.
I power down, unplug PC, unhook 40 GB HD, restart. Boots up normally with just the 160GB HD.
So shit I have saved since 2002 is all gone.. About 30GB of stuff.. some is backed up somewhere think.. but not all of it. That blows. Gonna try to get it to boot again with that HD hooked up, if it doesn't.. I guess I lost all that stuff.
