so i went to do some HW right. but it turns out the version of Office i had installed (office pro) didn't have MSFT Project, which i needed. So i had to uninstall pro, and install the version my school had given me (enterprise) a few months back. all that just to get MSFT Project up and running.....and what sux still, is that the enterprise edition still didn't come w/the Front Page disk!

god damn it, the corvette is dead again.
its been sitting dead for the last 3 months or so while all the fuel system has been getting replaced, just finished it up this evening. went to go crank the motor over and there wasnt a god damn thing at all. no noise, no power draw, no nothing.
either the new starter died in less then 1 year, the wires corroded or were eaten through, or the car is so far fucked that it goes back into storage and i get my ass a real job and start restoreing it.

i say you get a real job . and what about the battery? did you check that? does it have enough fluids, is it charged up, etc.?

ya, everything on it is good. if the battery was dead the lights would go out when trying to start it. or at the very least the starter would click trying to turn it over.
fluids are all good, though it wouldnt matter at this point either. even if every fluid was non exsistant, the starter would still try to do its thing.
in the long list of fireing procedures, the starter is at the very begining. right now either its dead, which is highly doubtful. its only got 50-100 starts on it. or a wire is eaten through, cut, or corroded.
i think tonight were going to try and "hot wire" it. that will atleast rule out a bad ignition. although it still doesnt rule out a corroded wire along the way someplace either.

actually got to drive the vette today. that was fun.
if youve never driven a high HP car that has a sticky throttle cable and a rusted out throttle return spring, i highly recomend you do some day. its a ton of fun.

if you've never driven a car that needed oil like a homeless guy needs a ham sandwich, and had an automatic tranny on it's last leg, and a bored out 5.7L motor to boot, I highly reccomend that too..it makes some awesome noises, and snaps yer neck every shift....not from accelleration necessarily, but from the lurch of the gears binding for a second
I think I may just dump the camaro to a junkyard and save myself the bother of it all and just keep the msutang in mint condition and keep it til it's old and cool too

i think so. it runs, drives, shifts, and stops all on its own. haveing a few problems with it stopping though. brakes are good, but i had some problems with a sticky throttle.
i just replaced the throttle return spring which was worn to hell and back with an ultra heavy duty one. the throttle cable also appears to have bubbled a bit when then motor cought fire. a little bit of sanding with a fine grit sand paper will smooth that right out.
so after that one thing is fixed and the oil is changed, she should be good to go.
until the next thing breaks.
ive got my money on 3 things, radiator support finaly breaks loose, shifter linkage falls apart again (god was that fun trying to drive home, guess where gears are, and trying to hold the shifter up so it doesnt fall out) or the carb finaly gives out and needs to be rebuilt.
my dad keeps thinking something is gonna start acting up with the rear wheel bareings. THE hardest thing to replace/fix on the car.
