Climate change 'ruining' Mount Everest

Environmentalists are calling for Mount Everest to be put on a UN danger list because of global warming.

i known why Environmentalist in Nepal' would be worryed about this.... Nepal Business man and Guides can become rich over night setting up camps and climing Mount Everest its big money..anyway dont think the snow will be Melting on top.

speaking of global warming, iheard that the in some 60 or 70 years from now, the polar ice caps will completely melt.....we all know the consequences to that.

i heard that 1o% of the ice at the ice caps have dissapeared
i dont why people arent that worried yet?
i bet they will start to worry only when the signs of global warming really show....like when coastal areas start to get submerged

Yeah, I agree. Country's like Greenland are endangered by this. If people don't do something soon, the situation will have gathered too much momentum by the time they do start caring for them to make an impact by doing anything.

I for one really hate pollution and am worried about my future kids. I mean, I can't bring them into this world knowing that they could be greatly endangrered by an unforgiving environment. And yet, the situation just keeps on getting worse and worse!!!

well, the US has been doing stuff to bring down pollution ever since the Oil embargo of the 1970s. We've come out w/more economical vehicles consuming less gasoline, and also making them less polluting at the same time. So i guess somebody does care enough out there.
