I learned all about black holes in astronomy class. Basically, there is this theory that says that you will never reach the center of it. You will come across a point called the event horizon, assuming you live, which you wouldnt, but itd be cool. You would never reach the "center", because you go half the distance you want before. So, basically, if you started out 6,000 ft from the "center" youd travel to 3,000 ft away, then 1,500 and so forth. whats half of .0000000000000001? hell you got me.

I think i tried to explain that clearly.

You learned that in astronomy class? That has nothing to do with black holes, it can be applied to traveling to any given destination.

No. The thing is, black holes have such an intense gravity field that they can attract anything (similar to the way you are attracted to Earth and you cannot escape into space). Since light is made of physical particles (photons), it is also influenced by gravity. A black hole's gravity field is so intense that even photons cannot escape it. Hence, it does not reflect any light, hence the name (black hole). Actually, there is some stuuf that can escape a black hole (IR radiation), but that's a bit harder to explain (unless you know about quantum physics...)

no ... i don't think so..

what's the opposite of a black hole? a black hole takes ages to suck everything into it.... a white hole appears and spits everything out nearly instantly...... (or so the theory goes)

others think it slowly spits stuff out.... it also emits a hell of alot of light

It's also thought that any space/matter accupying the surrounding before the white hole appears will be simply destroyed....

theory'.... everything has a opposite,.... so light would escape from black holes to its opposite destination new universe...... by entering black hole you would be Traveling to the opposite destination side white hole.... end of destination. ..... so Travel is possible
