be careful, honestly if i was a delivery man i would carry protection.

actually in the summer some drunk/high bum was walking towards me, this is after work on a street here in downtown toronto, its a little more residential/small business on this street. the bum came upto me hes like "YO MAN GOT ANY SMOKES MAN" he was tryin to cover me then when I said no I don't, kept going "YO MAN GIMME YOUR SMOKES MAN" then i kept goin buddy leave me alone, don't got anything. i slipped my hand into my right pocket I had a box cutter with a blade that extended 5 inches. i extended it and pulled it out right up to his stomach and went "Buddy, you wanna f*ck? get the f*ck out".

so he goes "HEY I DONT WANT YOUR SMOKES" and walks off. keep some sort of protection i say, fists wont always help we're not all real one man armies like dyre!

that sh*t sucks man. If i was you, i'd start packing, or enroll in a self defense class. its getting harder now days to carry weapons. People tend to freak out at the sight of a knife or a gun. better luck to you in the future.

Choose some form of self defence that is famed for preventing damage to your opponent;it should help prevent nasty lawsuits. If you're going for self-defence classes you might want to see if either your boss or your insurance know an adress that provides good classes.

I ever get attacked like that the y better take me on the 1st blow, becouse fist ting i'll go for is to put out both thier eyes... or collapseing thier throught.. breaking of bones

when i get angry wich is verry hard to do, i get this huge surge of adreanaline, think of the halk, I'd done some insane things when i get angry... or scared. (no i don't turn huge and green) but dangerous

had you been armed you could of killed them in self defense....
you should pick up a simple tazer or stun gun, that or a jacket and a combet knife and over the solder holster so it's hidden away.... mase can be real nasty

A gun would be ideal, if you don't wise to kill you can buy rubber rounds,being shot would be likelike being beat by arnold swartzaniger with a base ball bat.... all the pain of being shot with out the penitration .... i'm sure it hurts pretty bad....

maybe something small like a dillenger low callaber....

check your local laws on self defence etc.... for example hee if you have a nife and i feel you mean to do my harm and you with in 13 feet (lundgeing distantance) you can kill in self defence.... the laws are iffy .....

I'm not advocateing killing just saying you've got to be ready to if the time ever comes between you and them.... send flowers...., don't think twice ,berry them ...who knows what they would of done if the had gotten you trapped...

you can also look into body armor to....

You shouldn't even have to worry about that kind of shizznat anyways, but with a rampant drug craze and a craving for watermelon, some people will do anything for both of these...monstrosities.

I've had a gun and a can of Mace pulled on me simultaneously...it was all over a joke my friends and I pulled on some punkass wanna-be gangster kid at school. He and a couple of his friends flagged me down in front of our local Pier One Imports(of all places) and pointed them at me and my friend. We just kind of stood there(not being a hero just so I can get shot by some dumbass) and waited for his response to us not reacting to it in a good way or a bad way. He got pissed because we weren't scared of him, and maced me for 10 f*cking seconds. I had to call my girlfriend at the time and she had to carry me to the car and into the Emergency Room so that I could have a way to breathe something that wasn't liquid fire.

$1000 hospital bill and two days later, my 4 friends and I corner him and his car('98 Mitsubishi Montero Sport) in the parking lot and smash it the f*ck up with aluminum baseball bats. He slugs my friend in the jaw with brass knucks, we proceed to BEAT HIS ASS until he stopped talking sh!t. I served 90 days in jail for that sh!t, but boy, was it worth it.

The point is-don't step up unless you're ready to dance.

Very wise call on your part Dyre on the second attempt. It would nice if the manager of your business could prohibit or further restrict deliveries to that complex until the manager of the complex assures the police and/or your business that the situation is under control.

Hope you are recovering with good speed... May the Lord continue to cover and keep you...

Sounds like you did the right thing Dyre,next time maybe you should call the police before attemping the deliverey and see if they can send an officer to ride with you ,.let the officer hide in the back of the van and see if you can catch them punk's.that or get one of thosevideo camereas to mount on the dashboard of the van and re-cord the delivery.

Actually, what I'm doing presently are two things:

1. Any suspicious orders are being called back to in order to confirm someone is there and to have them meet in front of their apartment/house.

2. I'm carrying my digital camera and anyone that may look suspicious....like these guys did....I'll be taking a snapshot PRIOR to proceeding into the area. Even then, if it's too suspicious, none of the drivers will proceed but return to the store before anything else is done.

semi bad idea, some people could get uptight and get thier panties all in a buch and end up in your face if your takeing thier picture.. bad idea..
