Is Apple letting their head grow too big?
I just recently formatted wne went to install quicktime, and you can't install quicktime without Itunes which I thought was a pretty big pain.
Also, I sent my ipod back because it was freezing on average 8 times a day. All they did was format it and send it back to me. I put the music on it over the weekend and I listen to it this morning and it freezes while I'm walking to the car for my first class!
When my aunt brought her G3 over to get help on it I told her to callt ech support. Turns out she had a 1 year warranty but phone support for only 3 months, she had her G3 for 5 months and if she wanted tech support she'd have to buy it.
I think Apple is changing the way it does business for the worse. It becomes less and less about the consumer as time goes on and I don't know what to do with my IPOD if they refuse to actually repair it or send me a new one.

You can still only download Quicktime, they just moved the option down a bit. Check out the third option under the language selection box

i havent liked apple for a very very long time. they overcharge for everything, and dont even offer as many options as their competitors. the only reason the ipod does so well is because that is the only name that the average user knows about...and it's a shame.

HHAHAHAH ferreal.
No but seriously itunes is so evil though. Even after you take it off the computer keep searching for it as the primary player. I keep deleting registry keys that reappear after a restart. ICANT GET RID OF IT! its so evil.
oh and yes I tried uninstalling it. worked but the regs keep comming back.
btw k-lite codec pack is god.

it happened when they first introduced itunes... i was paying attention... and i was going through my normal "quicktime installation" routine i do for EVERY computer i build....
luckily... it was on my main rig and not on anyone elses... at first i was little pissed to find itunes loading up... was going to find the alternative... then check the download again and found the another option had been made available..... a well... i think it's been a year...
