americangreetings = sending me spam non stop

americangreetings keeps sending me spam non stop... I've removed my self from thier email list several times via their website and the provided link.I sent them a rather unhappy email lets see if they stop.

I truely hate companies like this!
they buy you email adresses, collect them , spam them and then try to say your a memember or signed up for something and some how opted in with out your knowledge or permission. Yet no member account exists.

I've had people tell me to sign in anad cahae my peferances lol! how when i have no users name or password? and if I try their password/account retrival for kicks I get no account useing that email messages....

I wish something can be done about this crap..............

I've been getting loads of porn spam lately. There seems to be 2 lots I'm getting and one of the spammers doesn't include "sexually explicit" in the message title.

One thing I would stop doing Neon, is removing yourself from there lists - all this does is confirm that your email address exists and you will get more spam.

Use something like mailwasher to bounce the messages rather than download them (if you have a pop3 account of course)

Bouncing messages with mailwasher doesn't work all that well, since almost all spam messages have forged addresses, a lot of them from people who tried to unsubscribe from the same spam mailings.

for those with Outlook Express, remove the show preview pane, this way only headers and not the message will be shown or be downloaded

uncheck the show preview pane:

or just add the not wanted sender to the block sender list:

or click on the header and choose block sender:

Yeah, the porn ones are the ones that provide the most interesting situations.

Like I get an email from "Mike" saying "I found it". I stupidly click on the message just as my girlfriend walks into the room behind me. Takes some explaining I can tell you.

Yeah I never trust those unsubscribe links anymore, once did it, so the spam stopped for 2 weeks and after that it got back, but not only that I also started to get spam from diffirent companies now.
